What is Cheek Filler
Cheek Filler is when we place a higher density dermal filler in the cheek to lift and add volume. We can also contour the cheeks to create high arching defined cheek bones.
How does it work?
We inject the cheek filler in to place using a combination of the needle or micro cannula technique depending on the look you are trying to achieve. We use a slightly thicker dermal filler to mimic the appearance of bone. The dermal filler draws water to the area and gives structure and volume to the cheek bones.
It can also be used to enhance your side profile.
HOW IS THE TREATMENT ADMINISTERED
First we place a strong numbing cream on to the area we are looking to treat.
The dermal filler can be administered either via small injections or using the micro cannula technique depending on your desired results. If you are looking for a subtle look it is recommended to start with 1ml (0.5ml per side). If you are looking for well defined cheek bones you can have 2ml (1ml per side).
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS
Cheek fillers are generally a safe procedure and one of the less painful procedures. As with any injectable treatment there is always a small element of bruising and swelling at the injection site.
This is short lived and usually settles within the first 48 hours.
Procedure: Cheek Filler
Duration: 12- 18 months
Treatment Time: 5-10 mins
All our appointments are 1 hour long. Don't worry the treatment does not take that long! We keep them this length to take a thorough medical history and also to take our time to understand your expectations.
Yes definitely. You are involved through every step of the process and actually we always recommend less filler to start with to see how it fits in with your face
Yes you can but we recommend at least waiting 4 hours after the treatment. The reason for this is to reduce the risk of infection.
This treatment is very popular with both the maturer and younger clients. Cheek fillers add volume where it has been lost and can so can reverse some of the effects of ageing.
Note we cannot treat people who are pregnant/breastfeeding or under the age of 18.
Yes they are. The only treatments not included in personalised packages are the Non Surgical Rhinoplasty and Tear Trough filler. This is because those treatments are specialist areas.
Cheek fillers tend to one of the less painful treatments we offer. Furthermore we use a strong numbing cream and an ice pack to help minimise this.
